What I Wore: A Flower in Her Hair
Bonjourno lovelies!
Thought I'd share an outfit with you tonight, as it seemed to delight a few people at work today! I was off on a little shoot this morning, so perhaps heels weren't the best option, but I needed them today to lift my spirits. On my way to the shoot a girl walked past and told me she liked my T-shirt, then carried on. Didn't want to know where it was from, wasn't trying to sell me anything, just a lovely friendly compliment, (in the South of all places!) it made my day :)
Here is what I wore:
♥ Baggy white butterfly print T-shirt, Topshop
♥ Flowery printed skirt, Store 21
♥ Long grey cardi, River Island
♥ Long leaf pendant necklace, Outfit (not sure which brand, it was a present!)
♥ Over-the-knee socks, Primark
♥ Black ankle boots, Matalan
♥ Large pink flower corsage, Vintage
If you follow my Twitter you may of heard me chatting about getting my hair re-cut, and the Boy not liking it. So here is the close up, from the left side, of what it now looks like...
This time I had the sides & back clippered the shortest they've ever been (a number 4), and the undercut was left my natural colour. My roots were lightened and then my hair was toned to cool down the colour.
It has received mixed reviews, lots of likes and a couple of people saying it doesn't look as nice as last time (both blokes!). Perhaps this is because it isn't 'girly' or super feminine. Personally I quite like it, and it grows so quick I can change it again when I get bored. And it is a bit crazier ;)
Any other short-haired lovelies out there who have had fellas not like a super-short funky cut? I'd love to know what your boys think of your hair if you've changed it?

Primark Oxford Street met its match!
I took a trip to Primak Oxford Street. I fell in love. Then it broke me.
Where I live there is sadly no Primark and, understandably so, I get withdrawal symptoms. So when I go back up north to visit the parentals I normally get my fix.. However on a visit to London for the weekend I thought it was about time I finally met Primark Oxford Street. After a HUGE walk to get there we were met with hoards of Saturday shoppers, but I was a woman on a mission, so I and my friends split up so we could shop hard!
Half an hour later and I was in the queue for the changing rooms with a mountain of clothes. After another half hour wait it turned out we were only allowed to take in eight items at a time and if we wanted to try-on the rest of the baskets we had to re-queue! Needless to say I didn't bother re-queuing and just bought the items I had tried on, or that I guessed would fit.
So here is what I spent my hard earned cash on...
From left to right, top to bottom; Necklace £5, Top £6, Grey Jegginings £6, Patterned Skinny Jeans £12, Black Skinny Jeans £8, Peach Dress £5 (sale), Maxi Dress £12 (approx prices, I lost my receipt!)
I also bought a fabulous zebra-print hold-all with wheels on the end, which came in very handy taking this little lot home!
I've got to say after spending a total of two hours and about £50 in Primark Oxford Street I was totally broken, because once I stopped focusing on the bargainous clothes I noticed all the people crowded in and started to get a bit claustrophobic!
Have you visited Primark Oxford Street? Did you come home with lots of bargains or did it break you?

Inspired nails!
Hi folks!
This is a random post today, but basically one of my favourite blogs Gem Fatale's Style Blog has really inspired me. Gem, of Gem Fatale, posted a tutorial on how to paint your nails with a leopard-print design using eyeliner (see it here) and sent me the link from Twitter. This in turn lead me to look up WAH Nails, who seem to be much to blame for many fashionistas going funky nail crazy...and boy-oh-boy after seeing those designs a new addiction was born.
Now please bear in mind I haven't painted my nails in patterns since I was about fourteen and all the below photos are of my first attempts...
As recommended - the animal print were done using two coloured nail varnishes and black eyeliner, the other two designs were done using normal nail varnish, but details added using a clean eyeliner brush dipped in the varnish.
I know they aren't amazing but I'm hoping with a little practice they'll be looking Wah-a-licious soon! So here is my first nail designs post, and with a little luck and lots of practice, I hope to post some slightly less messy designs in the not-so-distant-future.
All that leaves me to say is - thanks Gem, for inspiring me!
When was the last time you were really inspired by another blog? I'd love to know what & whose posts have inspired other people to try out new looks!

DIY top
The original Tee
Saw this awesome Tee in the men's department at H&M for £3, it is from the Black Book collection. I particularly liked the slogan 'Get a face lift, or just be yourself'. I bought this with the intention of wearing it for my dance class over shorts but was inspired after googling t-shirt customisation methods so got a bit scissor happy...
Here is how I did it, be warned it is mind-numbingly easy...
- Cut out the hem on the sleeves.
- Cut the sleeves into thin strips towards the should stopping short of the shoulder seam.
- 'Roll' the strips in your palms to encourage them to curl.
- Finally I cut out the collar to give the shirt a more feminine fit.
I think i will wear this as above, over skinny jeans with my new boots, or perhaps tucked in a high waisted skirt or high-waisted jeans!
Any easy t-shirt DIY tips you'd like to share?

What I Wore: Because of You
Thanks for all your comments on my dilemma the other day! You all inspired me to style up my top the way I originally attended, I decided to go for a sort of sporty-chic look, of course I teamed it with some bling-tastic boots though!
♥ My back-to-front top from George @ Asda. From the G21 range, it was only £10 and although I layered it up here for work, I lost the vest top and opted for a little back crop top for my dance class later that evening.
♥ Black harem pants from Tesco. I bought these two-sizes too big, which means that although they are a little loose across my hips they are extra baggy, which I love.
♥ Gold boots, from Irregular Choice. I actually picked these up for just £30 in TKMaxx a couple of years ago and they are super-cute, down the the trademark painted soles.
♥ Anchor bracelet, River Island. I bought this a couple of weeks ago in the sales, £3!
♥ Gold and cream circular earrings. These were a present and I think they have a sweet 60s vibe.
Thanks for your advice on the top...
Have you got any items in your wardrobe you've bought then changed your mind about? Have I tempted you to try and wear them? - I love to know what is lurking in your wardrobes!

Oh George!
If you have read much of my blog, you'll know I can't resist a good bargain. I nipped out to Asda to pick up a couple of bits for tea (southerners, this means evening meal - I'm always getting pulled up on this one!) yesterday and happened to wander into the George section...and whoops I got a bit spendy!
LOVE these boots. Have wanted some military-style boots for so long, but just couldn't justify spending loads of money on them. Wore these today because I was so excited and I can report they are the most comfortable shoes ever!
Here is where I need your help...
I bought the above top after quickly trying it on in store. The material is lovely, really soft and it is semi-transparent. When I got home I realised that what I thought was the front of the top (in my rushed buy and trying frenzy) is actually the back. Not sure how I feel about that. What do you think - should I wear it back-to-front (gold buttons at front), should I wear it the right way round or should I return it? Fellow fashionistas, advice please?
So regardless of what I do about the above top and the strange shoe sizing, I was really impressed with the stuff they've got in store and you can't argue with the prices! :)

Glasses £5
It isn't like I need anymore sunglasses, but these have a really cute vintage-look to them, which I fell for. Plus, for £5, when I sit on them and break them, which I inevitably will, it won't break my heart...too much.Pumps £6
You wouldn't believe how many grey, jersey pumps I've got through in the last year. I tend to wear them until they break, needless to say, my most current pair broke, these are the replacement! Also, weirdly, the boots are size 6.5, the pumps a size 8. Both fit me perfectly.Top £10 (Left: Back, Right: Front)
